Juliana Welch Landscape Designer
Juliana is a designer, artist, and California native who emphasizes ecological sustainability as well as aesthetics in her work. While studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly, she received several accolades for design process, including an ASLA Student Award from the San Diego Chapter, and a nomination for Landscape Architecture Foundation’s 2017 Olmsted Scholars. A minor in studio art, and a life-long love for drawing have informed and inspired her design style.
From 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional, Juliana found her passion in the development of spaces. She uses her background in fine art to inform the built environment by drawing on principles of design and elements of art. Her time with Balboa Park Conservancy in San Diego contributed to her love of unique architecture and site history, as well as community outreach. Now a permanent resident of the Central Coast, she is a main designer for Madrone, making spaces into living works of art.
