Law ResidenceA Garden of Sun and Shade
Variety of space and feel define this garden on a hilltop in the Adalaida region west of Paso Robles. The home is fortunate to have several large heritage oaks to give year-round shade to much of the landscape, which would otherwise be exposed to the scorching summer sun. The layout of the garden is that of a reverse oasis-that is, a sunny haven enveloped by a variety of shady respites. While this sunny nucleus has a southwest theme with striking cacti and succulents, the fringes seamlessly blend to Mediterranean drifts and California woodland expanses. Designed by Stratton Semmes. installed and maintained by Madrone.
